Peroni Beer is an Italian premium beer, produced and bottled in Italy. This Italian beer finishes with a bittersweet taste that is superbly blended which sets it apart from other Euro lagers. Very light-bodied with its particular complexities, well-made and well-balanced.
Peroni is the company's original and unique brand. According to Assobirra, it is the best selling beer in Italy. It is 4.7% abv and made with maize, barley malt, hop extract and hop pellets. By the mid-1950s and 1960s, Peroni Nastro Azzurro Beer was the most recognised brand of beer completely throughout the Italian peninsula.
Nastro Azzurro is a 5.1 percent abv pale lager. Launched in 1963, it is the Peroni Brewery's premium lager brand. The name signifies "Blue Ribbon". Nastro Azzurro Peroni Beer has also sponsored teams in Grand Prix motorcycle racing. In 1997 they sponsored a 125cc Aprilia team with rider Valentino Rossi, who won the championship in that season. In 2000 and 2001 they also sponsored a 500cc Honda team, with the Peroni brand on the motorbike again with Rossi as the rider.
