Dom Perignon Champagne - is a vintage Champagne of premium quality. Made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Grapes, tasting notes of lemon peel, cocoa powder and citrus, this is a medium-bodied sparkling wine that has an excellent freshness to it, with undertones of ripe fruits.
Dom Pérignon was a monk and master at the Benedictine abbey in Hautvillers. He pioneered plenty of winemaking methods approximately 1670. He was the very first to blend grapes in such a way to enhance the characteristic of the wines. Perfecting the art of producing bright white wines from black grapes by clever manipulation of the pressing process. By increasing the tendency of the Champagne is to preserve their natural sugars to induce the secondary fermentation readily in the Spring; being a master at deciding when to bottle these wines to (or “intending to”) capture the bubbles. He also included Corks (instead of wood), which is fastened to bottles with the hemp string immersed in oil to keep the wines fresh and to keep them sparkling, and used thicker glass to strengthen the bottles (which are prone to explode at that time). The development of sparkling wines as the original style of production in Champagne occurred progressively in the 19th century; that is more than a century after Dom Pérignon's death.
